Sampling area: Dredging

Sorry - the team are flat out with their sampling programme and haven't had time to report on their activities today. Instead, meet Pete Robinson, the ship's Steward, and X below...

Name: Pete Robinson

Position: Steward (a.k.a. Captain’s Tiger)
Favorite thing about his job: He enjoys it.
Least favorite thing about his job: Cleaning up after other people.
Does he ever get seasick?  Sometimes.
Funniest thing he’s heard in the last week:  That Jeff is rejoining the James Cook.
Favorite place:  St. Thomas
Worst nightmare: Having a death in the family whilst at sea
Three words to describe himself:  A nice person.
Would be reincarnated as:  “A diamond—I’ll have every girl wanting me, and I’ll last forever!”
Most interesting thing that ever happened at sea:  Being on a vessel in Thailand with over 1000 shoreside workers on board—everyone from babies to grannies.
Why did the chicken cross the road?  To spread the Bird Flu

Least favorite thing about his job: Waking up and going to work

Favorite place:  The beach in the Caribbean
Worst nightmare: “I’m not scared of anything, me!”
Three words to describe himself:  happy, quiet, willing
Would be reincarnated as: A sea cucumber
Most interesting thing that ever happened at sea:  Having a 5-meter hole ripped in the ship as it pulled alongside the dock
Why did the chicken cross the road?  Because it could!  It’s got legs!
