One of the big questions everyone seems to ask is, “What’s the food like on board the ship?”  Well, we’re pleased to report that it’s delicious, thanks to Mark, Darren, Amy, and Graham, the amazing catering staff aboard the James Cook.  Their job is pretty challenging—imagining trying to feed over 40 people for more than a month!  And then imagine that you can only stock up on fresh ingredients like vegetables and fruit at the beginning of your trip, and if you run out of something you are four days’ sailing away from the nearest grocery store!  Fortunately for us scientists, Mark and his team remain completely unfazed by these challenges—in fact, their dishes are so tempting that most of us will probably have to spend a little extra time in the gym when we get ashore!
