Monday 26 May 2008

It is a public holiday at home in Britain, and traditionally for such summer holidays the weather is usually bad  Well, our weather is overcast and cool, so we feel quite at home!

Our survey is going well.  Today we processed the first of the TOBI sidescan and the ship’s bathymetry data.  They show beautiful volcanic features on the AVR (axial volcanic ridge - the bit right in the middle of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge), with just the kind of variety we were hoping for.
