JC24: Dating volcanoes on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge

Cruise diary

Thursday 26 June 2008

Today we had our final science meeting.  At this meeting we reviewed all of our scientific objectives, discussed what we discovered, and began to decide who’d be doing what work with what data when we get back onshore. We also discussed when and where we’d be meeting up again, Hawaii seemed to be a particularly popular choice.

The meeting was followed by the end of cruise dinner (featuring swan shaped desserts) and the end of cruise party. As Isobel had missed her University graduation ceremony a much better one was laid on courtesy of the James Cook, and special thanks go to to Sqibby (Bosun) for producing probably the most substantial graduation hat in existence from a cardboard box and some string.
