JC24: Dating volcanoes on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge

Cruise diary

Friday 27 June 2008

Today has mostly been spent packing up, cleaning and making sure we all have copies of the data we need.  It is the scientists themselves that are responsible for cleaning the labs and as there is another cruise leaving in a few days it is important we leave them spotless. Luckily we haven’t been too messy and the biggest task was trying to get the chemistry lab to stop smelling like Kirsty's corals (which smell disgusting).

Kirsty gets to work mopping the lab.

Kirsty and Isobel pose for pictures,
having covered the entire lab in bubbles.
